Diva is a South Korean girl trio. The original members were Vicky, Jini and Chae Rina. Rina was also a member of the group Roo'ra and would eventually leave Diva in the early stages. Her replacement was Lee Min Kyung. Diva's first album came out in 1997. While the group was popular during its initial run, Rina's departure definitely hurt Diva's success. Despite this, the girls managed to release some popular songs. By 2005, they released the eighth original album. Unfortunately, it sold poorly and Diva has been on hiatus since then. Chae Rina recorded a solo album in 2002 and joined Yuri (of Cool) to form Girl Friends.
Anna Marie Heider Tsuchiya was born in 1984 in Tokyo, Japan. Her father is Russian-American and her mother is Japanese. She began modeling at fourteen, becoming popular in teen magazines and product ads. In 2002, she joined former OBLIVION DUST guitarist Kaz to form Spin Aqua under Sony's Ki/Moon Records label. The duo's music was unsuccessful, leading to disbandment in 2004.
